FMST 1540 - DOCUMENTARY FILM Minimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course explores the nature and impact of the non fiction film, its changing forms, strategies for movies, and claims to veracity and objectivity. It is concerned with identifying types of documentary, the “motives” of such films, their audience and the problems posed by “documenting reality.” This is a Critical Studies course and counts for Category II towards the Film and Media Studies major and minor.
