PAS 2418 - FUNDAMENTALS OF SURGERY Minimum Credits: 1 Maximum Credits: 1 This course introduces students to the fundamental principles of perioperative medicine, including how to care for the surgical patient, operative equipment and techniques, anesthesia, common postoperative complications and methods for prevention, and documentation. Selected topics will include the most performed surgical procedures as well as issues relevant to various surgical subspecialties.
