PAS 2403 - HEALTH POLICY Minimum Credits: 2 Maximum Credits: 2 This course introduces the student to how the health care system works. The focus is on basic principles of health policy, the health care system and system failures. Topics include reimbursement, access to health care, quality assurance, public health, health care disparities. The course also includes a discussion of ethical principles as they relate to the practicing medical professional. Students will have the opportunity to research and present topics related to the course as well as discuss current health policy topics in a group setting.
