HRS 2655 - RESEARCH METHODOLOGY AND APPLIED STATISTICS Minimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This introductory course in research methods and applied statistics will address research study design and descriptive and inferential statistics related to the research process. Inferential statistics will include one-sample, two-sample and multi-sample inference. Topics covered will include issues related to measuring variables (reliability/validity), an introduction to epidemiology and measures of association, and interpreting scientific literature. The course will include hands-on practice in running statistical tests previously taught in class. This course provides awareness about research methods and statistical analysis considerations needed by health sciences students. There are no pre-requisites.
