NUR 3010 - PHD DISSERTATION Minimum Credits: 1 Maximum Credits: 9 The PhD dissertation fulfills two major purposes: (1) to establish the student’s competency in the conduct of scholarly research, the successful public defense and uploading of all required documents of which demonstrates the candidate’s ability to carry out, analyze and report scholarly research at a higher level of professional competency; and (2) to contribute to the science of nursing through the dissemination of results from the investigation.
