PIA 2024 - ECONOMICS FOR PUBLIC AFFAIRS Minimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 Macroeconomics Macroeconomics, as the name implies, is the study of aggregate economic phenomena such as national income and product, inflation, employment, economic growth, and the associated fluctuations in these variables. At its center is the analysis of the fiscal and monetary policies used to achieve the macroeconomic goals of stability and growth. Students will gain understanding of the causes of economic recessions and the policy tools available to stimulate recovery and mitigate the economic and financial costs of these downturns.
