LING 2146 - SECOND LANGUAGE ACQUISITION Minimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course will deal with second language development from a linguistic and psychological, rather than from an educational point of view. Both the influence of linguistic theory on second language research and the importance of second language data for linguistic theory will be discussed. Second language development in children as well as adults will be described, and frequent comparisons will be made with data from first language acquisitions.
