NURNP 2574 - NEONATAL DISEASE PROCESS 2 - THEORY Minimum Credits: 4 Maximum Credits: 4 Clinical management of neonatal (preterm and term infants in the neonatal intensive care unit) patients requires a broad knowledge base. This theory course will provide a thorough understanding of the embryology, physiology, pathophysiology and management of common neonatal disease processes. This is the second in a series of 2 consecutive courses and will focus on the endocrine & metabolic, immune, neurobehavioral, musculoskeletal, eyes/ears/nose/throat and dermatologic systems. It also includes discharge planning and follow-up care for the high-risk neonate.
