NURNP 2573 - NEONATAL DISEASE PROCESS 1 - THEORY Minimum Credits: 4 Maximum Credits: 4 Clinical management of neonatal (preterm and term infants in the neonatal intensive care unit) patients requires a broad knowledge base. This theory course will provide a thorough understanding of the embryology, physiology, pathophysiology and management of common neonatal disease processes. This is the first in a series of 2 consecutive courses and will focus on the cardiovascular, pulmonary, gastrointestinal/nutrition, renal/genitourinary and hematologic systems as well as fluids and electrolytes.
