PSY 0505 - INTRODUCTION TO BIOPSYCHOLOGY Minimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This is a survey course in which the biological bases of certain classes of behavior are explored. The behaviors studied are limb movement, sleep and wakefulness, feeding, sexual behavior and learning and memory. Each of these behaviors is considered from the point of view of which brain structures and which neurotransmitters are involved in the production of that behavior. Emphasis is also placed on experimental techniques used to obtain relevant data and on the type of inferences which can be made from these experiments.
