PUBHLT 2034 - PUBLIC HEALTH COMMUNICATIONS Minimum Credits: 2 Maximum Credits: 2 This course provides hands-on training in the principles and practice of effective communication. The emphasis is on the types of communication used by public health professionals. Students will briefly cover fundamental principles of communication theory, learn to critically analyze examples of communication, and then have the opportunity to practice applying those principles to a wide variety of different types of communication, including health promotion, routine business communication, and scientific communication. Multiple media types will be discussed, including print, web, and video.
