General medical diagnoses that are leading causes of dis ability in children, adolescents, adults, and older adults are defined and described. Etiology, signs and symptoms, clinical course, medical management, morbidity, and prognosis are reviewed. Influence of medical pathology on activities of daily living and routines, and societal participation is examined.
