NURNP 2100D - MANAGEMENT OF ADULT WITH EPISODIC/CHRONIC HEALTH PROBLEMS IN ACUTE CARE THEORY Minimum Credits: 4 Maximum Credits: 4 This course is designed to develop a theoretical, practical, and evidence-based foundation for advanced practice nursing in the diagnosis and management of common episodic and chronic dysfunctions/alterations. Through didactic information, students develop the knowledge base needed to apply advanced practice skills in patient/family assessment, develop and implement a management plan, and evaluate the plan’s effectiveness when caring for patients across the continuum of acute care services. Health promotion, health restoration, and health protection appropriate to these patients and families will be emphasized.
