PSY 1470 - COGNITION AND THE BRAINMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course examines fundamental issues in cognitive neuroscience, an interdisciplinary science covering topics in the neural basis of sensory perception, motor control, attention, short-term and long-term memory, language, emotion, decision-making and consciousness. Some of the areas covered are how strokes affect speech, how perception is unified, how the visual system analyzes color, shape, and location of objects. Research methods and research results are considered.
