PS 1334 - COMPARATIVE POLITICS THROUGH FILMMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course analyzes the political aspects of film in a variety of national cinemas (US, Latin American, European, African, Asian), across different decades and genres (including documentary, period epic, Western, and melodrama), and through a range of themes (including macro-themes like war, colonialism, revolution, and ideological and political conflict as well as micro-themes like race, gender, sexuality, and the nuclear family).
