GSWS 1150 - GLOBAL FEMINISMSMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This class will look at the situation of women in international perspective. We will examine how feminist organizations operate in difficult national and local contexts and how women's rights have been addressed through international organizations such as the united nations and the world court. Through case studies, we will consider a number of contentious issues in global feminism, including sexual assault, sex tourism, and the global assembly line, and the role of feminism in national liberation movements.
