BIOSC 1730 - VIROLOGYMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course presents the concepts and methods of modern molecular virology. Principles of bacteriophage and animal virus replication are covered. Particular emphasis is placed on the use of viruses as model systems to approach basic problems in molecular biology. Applications of virological knowledge to medicine and biotechnology will be discussed.
