ANTH 1757 - SOCIAL ORGANIZATIONMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This is a course on the social institutions of primitive and folk people throughout the world. It presents a general survey of kinship units and principles of organization that operates at the primitive, tribal, and folk levels. At the end of the course the main theories that anthropologists have employed in analyzing kinship and social organization will be discussed.
