NUR 0070 - INTRO PROF ROLE & HLTH PROMOMinimum Credits: 4 Maximum Credits: 4 The student will be introduced to the profession of nursing from historical and contemporary perspectives. The role of the professional nurse and the nursing process including critical thinking and decision making will be included. This course will also provide the student with a knowledge base for the promotion of health throughout the life-span. Focus is on the health education aspect of the professional nursing role. By health teaching a referral, when appropriate, the student will intervene to promote the health of children in ambulatory & other community settings.
