SOC 1111 - SOCIAL THEORY AND MODELSMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This is a course in the use of formal methods in developing theory in social science. Critical standards are introduced for the evaluation of theoretical models expressed in mathematical form and issues related to such formalization are discussed. There will be some combination of in depth study of one formal social theory and of less intensive study of a variety of theoretical models.
