SOC 0441 - PROFESSIONS AND DYING PATIENTMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 With a main focus on the professions of medicine, nursing, and the clergy, this course examines dying, death, and bereavement in modern society. Attitudes towards dying and death will be related to ethical issues arising from growth in life-sustaining knowledge and technology, to moral decision making, and the emergence of specialization in terminal care, and bereavement support.
