SOC 0232 - SOCIAL RESEARCH 1Minimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This first course, in a sequence of two courses, provides an introduction to contemporary social research methods. Issues of problem formulation, conceptualization and operationalization, measurement, sampling, data collection and data processing are covered. Throughout the course there will be extensive use of the departmental computing laboratory to provide hands-on practical experience with real data and real problems.
