PUBSRV 1325 - FEDERALISM & INTGVRMNTL RLTNSMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 Course concerned with intergovernmental relations between federal, state and local governments. Topics include: how federalism evolved from the establishment of the constitution to present; federal government's involvement in domestic affairs and how federal programs are implemented; selected current issues in IGR including fiscal federalism, federal mandates and court decisions affecting state-federal relations. Special focus is relationships among local government in metropolitan areas. Regional service delivery and governance issues studied comparing the Pittsburgh area to other areas appropriate.
