AFRCNA 1620 - AFRICAN AMERICAN LIT CRITICISMMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course affords the study of content and African American literary research and criticism from web. Dubois, Alain Locke, Sterling Brown to Nick Arron Ford, Deborah McDowell, Barbara Smith and Hazel Carboy. Some attention will be paid to the history of ideas, to bibliographical and textual criticism to the historical development of black literary criticism and to the commonly employed approaches of literary historians and critics of black writers in America.
