PS 0311 - MOD E ASIA:POLIT, SOCTY,ECONYMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course is a lower-level, introductory course for freshmen and sophomores. It offers non-majors a thematic overview of contemporary issues occupying two of the world's most enduring yet dynamic societies--China and Japan--from a variety of disciplinary perspectives. Using a common body of materials, they will learn how anthropologists, economists, historians, political scientists, sociologists and other specialists use and interpret those materials to contribute their own unique insights to our understanding of East Asia.
