NROSCI 0082 - DRUGS AND BEHAVIORMinimum Credits: 4 Maximum Credits: 4 This is an honors course which provides a general background in the fields of neuroscience and psychopharmacology. The course will examine the behavioral effects and biological mechanisms of actions of the major groups of psychoactive compounds, including stimulants, depressants, narcotics, and hallucinogens. Drugs used in the treatment of common psychiatric neurological disorders, such as schizophrenia, depression, and Parkinson's disease, will be discussed.
