ECE 2273 - EXTREME ENVIRONMENT ELECTRONICSMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course teaches the tools, techniques, and design methodologies for building microelectronic circuits that operate reliably in extreme environments, with an emphasis on high-radiation environments. Students first grasp the fundamentals of widely used digital and mixed-signal circuits tailored for standard settings, then delve into advanced versions engineered for challenging environments such as space, avionics, high-energy physics, medical, and nuclear applications. The course combines lectures, hands-on labs using professional CAD tools, case studies, and a culminating design project.
