Long Description This course provides a comprehensive examination of research ethics through the lens of contemporary challenges in health science research. Students will complete Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) training certification while developing critical frameworks for analyzing ethical debates in the health sciences. The course integrates regulatory foundations, historical case studies, and current controversies to develop students' capacity for independent ethical reasoning. Through this course, students will explore how research ethics evolved from historical atrocities, understand current regulatory frameworks, critically examine empirical and philosophical perspectives on health sciences policy, and apply these understandings to ethical issues in emerging areas of research.
