BIOSC 1523 - DEVELOPMENTAL BIOLOGY LABORATORYMinimum Credits: 2 Maximum Credits: 2 Long Description This authentic research-based laboratory course will introduce students to a classic system in developmental biology. Students will become familiar with the chosen species and participate in a project devised to advance our understanding of development. Students will master techniques such as microscopy, antibody staining, in situ hybridization, and experimental manipulation of embryos. Students will also learn how to devise hypotheses, design experiments, record experimental results, and then interpret these so that they can be communicated in the form of a poster, presentation, and/or written report.
