In this proficiency-oriented course, students will develop the basic vocabulary and essential grammatical structures needed to build a solid foundation for speaking, listening, writing, and reading skills in Swedish. Emphasis is placed on communication and the cultural context within which Swedish is used. Classes are interactive and engaging, and emphasize the use of language as a tool for real-life communication skills. Students will be provided many opportunities to practice and use Swedish in meaningful contexts and to interact with authentic materials like music, social media, movies, and print media.
