Long Description This authentic research-based biology laboratory course is specifically designed for majors within the Department of Biological Sciences. This course builds upon the skills emphasized in BIOSC 0157 Foundations of Biology Research Lab 1 & 2 by engaging students in authentic research projects in genetics, microbiology, molecular biology, evolution, and/or ecology. Students collaborate in teams to advance a research project from hypothesis development to presentation of findings, perform advanced laboratory techniques, analyze scientific literature, and refine written and oral communication skills. Specific research focus areas for each section are listed under Meeting Information.
