FMST 1856 - PRODUCING THE ORIGINAL SERIESMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 Long Description In this course we will work together as a production studio for a series in which the story bible, pilot, and possibly more than one episode have already been written. In some cases, students will join a series already "on the air" with multiple episodes already produced. Though we will discuss the history and process of long-form narrative production, this course is mainly a practicum - the goal is to get a series of high-quality episodes out on schedule. Throughout the semester each student will fill multiple preproduction, production, and postproduction roles, as well as being part of the series writers' room. This course counts as a Category III elective in the Film and Media Studies major and minor, and a Technical Elective in the Production Track. Academic Career: Undergraduate Course Component: Practicum Grade Component: LG/SNC Elective Basis
