ENGFLM 0591 - STORYBOARDINGMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 Long Description Storyboards are the blueprint of many visual media forms. This course explores how to harness the power of storyboards as a mode of visual communication and a digital media storytelling tool for film, TV, and emerging/new media projects (such as video games, VR, and interactive web-based media). In this class, we will use the practice of storyboarding as a method for understanding form, narrative, and genre as well as reading critical texts. Some experience with film studies is recommended (Film Analysis), but not required; no drawing experience is necessary, just interest and a willingness to learn. This is a Category III production class with critical studies elements. It counts as a Topical elective in the major and minor for the Film and Media Studies major and as an elective for the DNID major.
