ECON 1490 - POLITICAL ECONOMYMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 Long Description Political economy studies the interrelationships between economic systems and political systems. This course will focus on theories of public choice, social choice, and economic models of political processes. Students will study how collective decision-making and individual preferences shape public policies, examining the incentives and behaviors of voters, politicians, and bureaucrats. By integrating these perspectives, the course aims to provide an understanding of how political and economic forces interact to influence policy outcomes and societal welfare.
