BUSSCM 1745 - TRANSPORT AND LOGISTICS MANAGEMENTMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 Long Description This course aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively manage the transportation and logistics operations of a company or organization. By completing this course, students will understand the fundamentals of transportation and logistics, including developing related analytical and problem-solving skills, learning how to enhance operational efficiency, understanding regulatory and legal considerations, addressing sustainability and environmental concerns, and developing effective communication and leadership skills. The course will cover a range of related topics, including: transport modes, modal capabilities and limitations, the contribution of transportation and logistics (place and time utility) to national and international economies, transport companies' commercial practices and economics, the role of governments in transport infrastructure, regulation, and safety, the range of stakeholders' interests, and environmental issues.
