PIA 0201 - HOW TO IDENTIFY BETTER POLICY: FOUNDATIONS FOR POLICY ANALYSISMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 Long Description This is an undergraduate course that focuses on developing the skills necessary to conduct policy research and analysis. The course covers basic analytic methods and hands-on data analysis techniques, as well as statistical tools for policy analysis. It also includes a focus on the communication of analyses, including the use of memos to effectively convey findings. Students will learn how to analyze policy and understand the problem being addressed, as well as the design, implementation, and evaluation of policies. By the end of the course, students will be able to use research and data analysis skills to inform policy decisions and communicate their findings effectively.
