ECE 1115 - HIGH-PERFORMANCE COMPUTINGMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 Long Description This course teaches high-performance computing as a complex system that sits at the intersection of algorithms, programming, systems, networks, and processors. Students are introduced to generalized abstractions of parallel programming via data and task parallelism. Topics include processor pipelining, instruction-level parallelism, superscalar instructions, multiprocessor parallelism with threading, cluster computing and interconnection networks.
