ECE 1215 - ELECTROACOUSTICS AND AUDIOELECTRONICSMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 Long Description Topics covered include: Electroacoustics (SPL, microphones, loudspeakers) Design of audio-specific small-signal circuitry (OP amp design, JFETs, vacuum tubes, noise) Power amplifier topologies (class A, AB, D) Audio effects circuitry (distortion, delay, tremolo, wah). This is a lab-based course in which students will complete a lab assignment on a different topic every week, concluding with the design, construction, and characterization of a custom audio circuit using the DIYRE Colour module system.
