PSY 1213 - PSYCHOPATHOLOGY ADVANCED LABMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 Long Description In this course, students will design and conduct a unique research project using simulated or previously collected data to animate our understanding of contemporary research methods in clinical psychology. Psychopathology topics will vary depending on the instructor, but recent topics have included sleep and circadian influences, and cognitive processes in mood and anxiety disorders. Through the experience of organizing and evaluating previous empirical findings, situating a novel research question within a theoretical framework, and conducting and interpreting a statistical analysis, we will strive to become competent and critical consumers of published empirical research, appreciating the rich complexities inherent to the scientific process.
