PSY 1320 - LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENTMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 Long Description What does mastering a language look like and how do human children do it so quickly while animals do not? What happens if children are deprived of language? Is language special, or is it part of our general cognitive ability? We will examine all these questions and, in the process, learn about typical language development and the methods used to study it.
