PSY 1075 - HISTORY OF PSYCHOLOGYMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 Long Description This course will focus on the origins of the theories and methods that underpin modern academic psychology. We will explore psychology's philosophical and scientific roots in the ancient world, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, and the Enlightenment. This course will also cover several schools of thought within psychology such as structuralism, functionalism, behaviorism, Gestalt psychology, psychoanalysis, humanistic psychology, psychobiology, and cognitive psychology.
