Long Description This course investigates the relationship between societal change and legal change. We examine how changes in society produce changes in law, how changes in law create changes in society, and the mutual, ongoing relationship between the two. Our investigation considers a range classical and contemporary theories and how they compare to specific cases that concern the dynamic relationship between law and social change.
