LCJS 1560 - PROBATION AND PAROLEMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 Long Description This course presents and evaluates the nature and impact of probation and parole, and strategies for their most effective use. Attention is given to parole and probation trends over time at the national, state, and local level. Topics include: effects of probation and parole on both the criminal justice system and the larger society; the structure and operation of probation and parole services; and differences between juvenile and adult probation.
