Long Description Neanderthals, ice-age art, Stonehenge, megaliths, Celts, and more; the major archeological discoveries, from the first traces of human occupation of European soil up to the expansion of the Romans, will be covered through illustrated lectures and films. The course also offers a basic introduction to the discipline of archeology, thus serving as preparation for other courses in the subject; it also serves as a useful foundation for studies in history, ethnic history, art history, and classics.
