DC 3118 - PATHOLOGYMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course covers the general principles of pathology, including the nature of inflammation and healing, and the reaction of cells and tissues to injury, infection, radiation, metabolic disturbances and degeneration. The nature of neoplasms, hypersensitivity reactions, autoimmune disease and deficiency diseases will be covered, as well as organ and tissue-specific pathology. Emphasis will be given to conditions relevant to clinical chiropractic practice. Weekly small group facilitated discussions will provide for the clinical correlation, context, consequences, and relevance of the pathology and pathophysiology being studied.
