DC 3152 - INTRODUCTION TO THE CHIROPRACTIC PROFESSION AND PRIMARY SPINE CAREMinimum Credits: 2 Maximum Credits: 2 This is an introductory course to the chiropractic profession. It covers the history of manipulative therapy from antiquity to the present, with an emphasis on the pre-history and history of the chiropractic profession. Also included are a general introduction to the profession and its practice, nationally and internationally; its educational, political and sociological context and relationship to the other health professions; the course includes a discussion of key historical figures in the development of the chiropractic profession, and factors influencing the continued development and evolution of the profession around the world. The course concludes with a discussion of the role of the chiropractor as a primary spine provider.
