DC 3136 - CLINICAL PAIN CLASSIFICATION AND PHENOTYPINGMinimum Credits: 2 Maximum Credits: 2 This course will provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the mechanisms underlying pain perception, modulation, and chronic pain conditions. Through lectures, case studies, and interactive discussions, students will explore the biopsychosocial model of pain, the role of central sensitization in chronic pain, and the impact of psychological and social factors on pain perception. Students will also learn the importance of evidence-based pain classification and treatment approaches for patients with various painful conditions, with a focus on interdisciplinary and collaborative care.
