BUSACC 1270 - PERSONAL WEALTH AND TAXESMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 Personal Wealth and Taxes introduces personal wealth management and tax implications of various approaches including: 1. Budgets and taxes: Understanding financial statements, budgets, and tax returns 2. Asset management: Managing cash and savings and making auto and housing decisions 3. Managing credit and consumer loans: Understanding what impacts a credit report and how to structure credit to improve credit worthiness and lower cost of capital. 4. Managing insurance needs: Learning about life, health, and property insurance. 5. Managing investments: Planning and investments in stocks and bonds, mutual funds, ETFs, and real estate. 6. Retirement planning: Maximizing retirement savings, employer matching, and preserving your estate.
