ARC 1210 - FALLINGWATER STUDIO

As an extension to the Architectural Studies studio sequence, ARC 1210, Fallingwater Studio, will offer further exploration in site-specific design, form-making, and materials. In this studio, students will be introduced to conceptual ideas about the synergy between the building site and architectural form. In this sense, site will be more than just the groundplane on which designs are projected and will include the specific possibilities informed by a conceptual understanding of the culture and nature that defines a place. The resultant architectural products in this studio should be understood as interventions that become part of the site and that are similarly affected by culture, nature, and time.
