BIOSC 1615 - ECOLOGY AND CONSERVATION IN YELLOWSTONE

Through day trips in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, students will gain in-depth insights into the ecological and evolutionary dynamics of the area. We will focus on flora and fauna and their interactions with one another and their environment in several distinct ecoregions. We will explore sociocultural and political aspects of biological resource use, conservation, and sustainability. Students will gain hands-on experience in a variety of ecological field skills while developing knowledge and appreciation of the diverse natural and sociocultural landscapes that shaped-and continue to shape-the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.
